FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – When a 10-year-old girl ended up in the hospital with stomach pain, doctors learned she was pregnant.
A youth pastor who fled the country when it was discovered that he had impregnated a 10-year-old girl in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has been captured by U.S. marshals. Pastor Raymond Vincent was located and turned in to custody in Haiti last week.
He was flown back to the U.S. from Port-au-Prince and booked on one count of sexual battery on a child and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct on Friday, July 1.
The un-named victim learned of her pregnancy when she went to the hospital complaining of an illness back in February. Vincent is described not only as her pastor, but as a family friend of the 10-year-old. Authorities are investigating, as they have reason to believe that he may have molested others while serving his church in South Florida.
Vincent has a history of sex-related charges. Back in 2011 he was accused of multiple counts of molestation, but was acquitted of those charges. The most recent victim claims that Vincent molested her on various occasions. He is said to have lured her to his apartment with food.
