Singer Ciara‘s defamation lawsuit against Future has taken a strange turn as she filed new docs in the case. In it, she reportedly expresses concern that Future might kill her fiancé, Russell Wilson. According to a report from TMZ, Ciara lays out the reasons for her concern through examples of supposed threats Future has made against Wilson. Two most notable examples include an Instagram post in which Future posted football emojis with gun emojis pointed towards them, which she thinks is in reference to Wilson, who plays quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks.
Another example she points out is the lyrics from Future’s recent song “Juice,” which appeared on his latest mixtape Project E.T. Esco Terrestrial. In the song he raps the line “Tryna f–k with my baby mama, dog what’s up with you? /You gon’ make me get that heat, I’m pulling up on you.” The song also mentions OJ Simpson who was accused of killing his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and her rumored lover Ron Goldman. According to the report, Ciara’s filing called Future’s supposed threats frightening” and “socially irresponsible … where there has been a recent rash of gun violence.”
The filing isn’t quite clear what the supposed threats have to do with her defamation suit against Future, which she originally filed back in February, accusing him of slandering her name in the public. Ciara is seeking $15 million from her baby father, who she claims made her appear to be a bad mother in a series of tweets and interviews.
In return, Future filed a countersuit, claiming her recent album Jackie was a “flop” and that means he couldn’t slander her name in a way that would have impact. He however later dropped the countersuit after being awarded more time with their son baby Future, which is what he claimed to have wanted. However the bad blood between the former couple still clearly remains.
