Mike Pence attended the Hamilton Broadway musical on Friday night. After being booed as he entered the building, the actor who played Aaron Burr, Brandon Victor Dixon, read the following to Pence at the end of the play:
“We, sir, we, are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights. We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf all of us.”

Russell Simmons, who has made it clear in the past that he does not think highly of Trump’s ethics, shot back at the President elect on Twitter typing, [email protected] Apologize for challenging you to be President for all of America? Lol. It just a request.”
In an interview today, Pence says he was not bothered by the actions of the crowd. “When we arrived we heard a few boos, we heard some cheers. I nudged my kids and said, ‘That’s what freedom sounds like,’” Pence said.
